Our Prep Year programme is an introduction to more formal structures of learning. It is where children will learn about themselves and the world around them.
What will my child learn in Prep?
The learning experiences in the Prep Year will help your child to:
- take on responsibility and become increasingly independent
- respect other people and value culture and diversity
- co-operate with others
- develop physical skills, oral language, and reading and writing skills
- develop skills to be confident, resilient, co-operative and life- long learners
- use their imagination and creativity
- learn about the environment
- learn skills in the Australian Curriculum areas of English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, the Arts, and Health and Physical Education
