Tahitian dancing
Traditional island dancing is a popular activity with many of our students. Based on the beautiful, flowing Tahitian movements, students are taught a variety of dances from simple, basic movements up to advanced choreographed routines. Local dance experts - adults and senior students, give generously of their time to share their knowledge and skills with younger students. Our dancers have performed at many local events and a select group have performed at the NSW Schools Spectacular and the North Coast Dance Festival. Costumes are made with many components traditionally woven from local materials.
Bounty Ball
Students are also involved in ballroom dancing for our annual Bounty Ball Competition. A number of local dance enthusiasts again give generously of their time to teach the students traditional ballroom dances such as the Waltz, Barn Dance, Pride of Erin etc.
